The Spireites Player team visited physio Jamie Hewitt this week to see how the walking wounded are progressing, and talked not only to Jamie Hewitt but also to Jack Lester and Gregor Robertson. The interview started with a chat to Jack who told subscribers about his rehab and hopes for a return to action shortly.

Jack told Player "I have been back on the training ground this week after having some cartilage trimmed off my knee. I picked the injury up Boxing Day and have only managed to play seventy minutes since so it's been a nightmare really and pretty boring. But the knee is now solid again and I will be stepping up my fitness and start contact training next week. So hopefully I am not too far away the surgeon said it would be six weeks before I could train again and that was six weeks ago.

Gregor Robertson then updated Player on his rehab after breaking his leg against Carlisle United in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in mid November and he told Player." Basically I am at the gym two or three times a day doing strengthening exercises that are pushing the bones together. I have been told it's a good break because the break is in the middle of my leg and not too close to the knee or ankle which can complicate things. There have been a few highs and lows depending on how many people are injured to keep you company.
What's next for Gregor?
"I have to see the specialist in May and then they should take the screws out but will leave a pin in for a further twelve months. My aim then is to hopefully be able to start the preseason. I am jogging a bit at the moment but can't wait really for that first crunching tackle that might sound strange but I got injured stretching for the ball in a freak accident really.
Jamie Hewitt then updated Player about the other injured players

"Phil Picken's back in training and he came through seventy five minutes for the reserves at Leeds so he's not far off and just needs to build his fitness levels."

"Terrell Lewis has had a groin strain for around a month and he went back into training and felt that again so we pulled him out of training for a couple of days this week but he's trained again today"

"Aaron Downes is doing bike work at the moment and his goal is to be running for the start of preseason"

"Derek Niven's been running today and hopefully there will not be a reaction to that. His ankle was very swallon and bruised and that s gone down quickly so he may well be back in full training next week"

"Jamie Lowry He's currently at Lilleshall for some intensive treatment this week and he will be back with us on Friday. Jamie's goal is to be running in the summer and join in with some running in preseason."
