Fears that Drew Talbot sustained a broken leg during the Spireites home game against Shrewsbury Town at the weekend have subsequently been proved groundless after x-rays revealed that no break had occurred. 

There are now worries that there could be some ligament damage but the full extent of the injury will not be known until a further assessment has been made this week.

The Chesterfield midfielder fell awkwardly during the first-half of Saturday's game at Saltergate, which meant he had to be stretchered off and taken to hospital.  He was not detained overnight.
