Jack Lester is expected to be out for a further couple of weeks after a scan revealed his latest injury is a recurrence of a thigh strain originally picked up last month.

The Spireites striker, who had already missed a couple of games last month, had recovered from his earlier thigh strain and had successfully played 90 minutes in last week's midweek cup game against Grimsby Town without any immediate repercussions.

After feeling some discomfort last Friday, whilst preparing for last weekend's local-derby against Rotherham United, he had to pull out of the game.

He has now had a second precautionary scan, which reveals the good news that the thigh injury does not appear as serious as before, and that he will be out for just a couple of weeks.
