Chesterfield's leading goalscorer Jack Lester could be out for three weeks with a badly broken nose.

He got caught in the face in a goalmouth incident against a robust Accrington Stanley and had to be substituted just before half-time.

He is expected to have an operation this week to reset his broken nose.

Chesterfield manager Lee Richardson said: "He has been our main goalscorer this season but we have to get on without him. 

 

It's no use grumbling and groaning about it as we have a game on Easter Monday to get on with so by showing the determination and character and the will-to-win we showed today against Accrington, we have got a good chance."

 

The Spireites came from two goals down to deservedly win the game 4-2, with goals from Derek Niven , Mark Roberts own goal, Jamie Lowry and Jamie Ward.
