Read 12.04.2002 30-year-old Jonathon has been with the Spireites since December 1994 and he is one of only two players still at the club who played in the epic 1997 FA Cup semi-final against Middlesbrough. Indeed, Jonathon did more than just play in that game - it was his shot, in the 70th minute, which landed over the line but wasn't allowed by referee David Elleary. That effort would have given Chesterfield a 3-1 lead with 20 minutes to go and with Boro already a man short would surely have guaranteed the Spireites a place in the Wembley final. There's never a Russian linesman around when you need one
