Chesterfield Football Club is supporting a young Spireites fundraiser who is raising money for the BBC Sheffield Kids' Scanner Appeal, which aims to raise £500,000 for a new scanner for The Children's Hospital, Sheffield.
Ten-year-old George Marriott's life was saved by staff at The Children's Hospital in Sheffield after a benign tumour was discovered on his brain and he is now working tirelessly to raise money for the cause.
The young season ticket holder from Wingerworth with his family had raised nearly £11,000 for the Childrens Hospital by organising a series of events, including a sponsored run, an auction, a race night, and now the latest event.

Spireites boss John Sheridan, along with assistant manager Tommy Wright, player coach Mark Crossley and midfielder Derek Niven, who himself has recovered from testicular cancer, made a visit to buy some cakes and make a donation to the Appeal following a whip round amongst the Chesterfield players.
John Sheridan said: "We are all amazed at George's thorough determination to help others despite his own problems so we were delighted to support his fine efforts to raise money for this worthy appeal."
