Painting of last game at Saltergate
A well-known local artist has started work on his commission to produce a lasting memory of the final league game of the season at Saltergate, which is against AFC Bournemouth in May.
James Muddiman has started his initial sketches for the painting which will provide 300 limited edition prints of the historic last match.
James said: "It is a real privilege to be asked to do this and a real legacy for my work as it will be bought by true Chesterfield fans."

"I intend to get the sketching of Saltergate done beforehand and after the game will get cracking with the finished article, it certainly is a mouthwatering prospect to catch all the atmosphere of the day."
Chesterfield supporters will be familiar with James Muddiman's work as he previously produced the special FA Cup montage featuring Spireites heroes from the memorable FA Cup run in 1997.
Director of marketing Alan Stevenson said: "James Muddiman's paintings are well-known in the Chesterfield area and this will be a superb addition to his collection."
Pre-orders are already being taken for the print, which will measure approximately 24" x 20", including frame and mount, and will grace the wall of any home, company reception, or boardroom. They cost £69.50.
All orders received and paid for before the last match will be signed personally by John Sheridan and the playing squad who were involved in the historic last game'
