Game-on for local youngsters

Chesterfield FC in the Community has teamed up with the Coalfields Regeneration Trust and the Football Foundation to get young people active with a programme of football coaching for local youngsters in the Chesterfield area.

Two floodlit training sessions are already up and running every Tuesday for 10 weeks at the Queens Park (3.30pm to 5.00pm) and Brierley Park, New Whittington (5.30pm to 7.00pm).

 

Spireites midfielder Lloyd Kerry, along with Andy Morris was at the opening session at Brearley Park.

CoalfieldsGame-On is a national grassroots development programme, which is enabling a number of Coalfield wards around Chesterfield to target youngsters from a variety of sections of the town who complain they have nothing to do.
