Chesterfield defender Shane Nicholson has returned from his loan spell with Lincoln City, which ended this weekend.

He would have been available for Lincoln's League Two game against MK Dons on Saturday but this has now been re-scheduled for TV coverage on Monday night, which takes it outside his loan period.

Shinner made seven starts and one substitute outing during his time on loan with the Imps. 

This brings his overall appearances for Lincoln to 141, having started his career at Sincil Bank as a teenager.

Lincoln head coach John Schofield, who was pleased with Shane's contribution during his time at the club, said: "Shane came in and did a great job for us."

He added: "Now that he and and another loanee have returned to their parent clubs it means we have found a way of generating a bit more money so that we can hopefully add to our squad in other areas."
