Chesterfield Football Club has signed a lucrative new sponsorship deal with local food distributor, Holdsworth, whose headquarters are located at Markham Vale.
The new deal, which will see the Spireites youth team sporting the Holdsworth name and logo on their team shirts, is for an initial one-year period, with an option to extend for a second year.
In announcing the new deal Chesterfield director, Chris Breeze said: "Seeking any kind of sponsorship in the current climate is extremely difficult but to secure one of this size and with an organisation with a reputation such as Holdsworth just shows the progress that the club has made in presenting itself as a credible marketing opportunity for those in the business community."
He added: "I want to thank Michael Holdsworth for supporting the youth team in this generous way."

Michael Holdsworth with Dave Bentley and Mark Jules
Holdsworth chairman Michael Holdsworth, in welcoming the opportunity to become involved with the club, said: "'We've been seeking a way to both increase our profile and to support the communities within areas close to our depots by developing our working partnerships with local organisations. We identified that the qualities displayed by the club at Chesterfield - particularly professionalism and ambition - sit perfectly with our objectives."
