Peterborough United and former Dagenham & Redbridge defender Scott Griffiths is joining Chesterfield on loan for initially one month.

The 24 year old left sided defender made over 220 appearances for the Daggers before joining the Posh in January 2010.

Meanwhile, manager John Sheridan has confirmed that Manchester City winger Donal McDermott will definately NOT be joining Chesterfield as the player wishes to play at a higher level than league two and the two clubs respect that.
