Redmond joins Spireites

Former Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Shane Redmond has joined the Blues on a monthly contract after being released by the Championship club.

The Republic of Ireland U21 International, who joined Forest in July 2006, has had loan spells with Burton Albion and Darlington. 

 

As the regular U21 No 1 he has been called up for the Republic of Ireland's U21 UEFA Championship qualifier against Estonia on Tuesday 10 August and will be unavailable for the Spireites Carling Cup clash with Middlesbrough.
