He joins Chesterfield on a one year deal, which runs until 30 June 2011.

The 24 year old Welsh International is a former Manchester City trainee who joined Oxford United in 2004 before a big money move to Italy with Verona in 2006.

In 2007 he linked up with manager John Sheridan at Oldham Athletic before moving to Brighton in January 2009.

He has made five senior international appearances for Wales and scored a rare international hat-trick at U21 level.

He has had loan spells with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Stockport County and Yeovil.

Last season he scored 7 goals in 24 appearances whilst on loan with Port Vale, with two of them against Chesterfield one at Vale Park and the other at Saltergate
