Manchester City's young striker Donal McDermott has joined Chesterfield, initially on a three month loan deal

Confirmation has come through that the transfer has now been cleared by the football authorities.

The 19 year old, who recently signed a new two year deal with City, goes straight into the squad for the Spireites first league game of the season away at Torquay United this weekend.
