Lester gets three match ban

Posted on: Thu 07 May 2009

The FA has imposed a three match suspension on Chesterfield striker Jack Lester following his sending off in the Spireites league game away at Accrington Stanley last weekend for what the referee described as making a rude gesture at a linesman.

He will now miss this weekend's league game at home to Bradford City and the first two first team competitive matches of next season.

The usual punishment for this offence is a two match ban but players sent off earlier in the season incur an extra one match suspension.
