The Spireites have just announced that as part of the preparations for the 2009-10 season, two pre-season friendly games have been arranged at Saltergate. 

On Saturday 18 July 2009 the Spireites will play Championship side Derby County, kick-off 3.00pm, and on Tuesday 28 July 2009, kick-off 7.45pm, Leicester City (most probably League One champions) will be the visitors. 

The rest of the pre-season programme has still to be finalised.   

Key dates for next season

The start of season 2009-10 will be Saturday 8 August 2009, with the last day of the season for clubs in League One and Two being Saturday 9 May 2010. 

The first round of the Carling cup will be w/c 10 August 2009 and the first round of the Johnstones Paint Trophy w/c 31 August 2009. 

The first round of the FA Cup will be Saturday 7 November 2009.
