Luton Town striker Drew Talbot has joined the Spireites on loan until the end of the season.
The 22 year old former Owls striker has made over 60 appearances for the Hatters since signing from Sheffield Wednesday for £250,000 in January 2007.
Chesterfield manager Lee Richardson said: "This move is of mutual benefit as Drew gets the opportunity to play football and adds some pace and vigour to the squad."
His work rate has made him a favourite with the Kenilworth Road crowd, but it has been reported that if he plays again for the Hatters, the club will have to make a sizeable payment. He is also keen on a move back up north.
Talbot goes straight into the Spireites squad for this Wednesday's home game against Exeter City, kick-off 7.30pm.
