Ward joins Blades

Chesterfield striker Jamie Ward is joining Sheffield United after agreeing a 3.5 year deal with the Blades, after the clubs agreed a £330,000 fee plus add on's which could see the fee rise to £400,000. There is also a 15% sell on clause.

Chesterfield manager Lee Richardson said: "Everyone at Chesterfield wishes Jamie all the best for the future."

Ward joined Chesterfield in January 2007 from Torquay United and he made 74 appearances for the Spireites scoring 31 goals.
