Chesterfield's loanee goalkeeper Trevor Carson has been called up for international duty with Northern Ireland U21's for their European U21 Championship game against Germany in Wuppertal this week. 

The 20 year old from Sunderland will miss Wednesday's first round cup tie against Grimsby Town in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and his place will be taken by Tommy Lee.

Carson is expected to return to the squad for Saturday's visit of Rotherham United.
