A former Chesterfield favourite is returning to Saltergate to help boost the club's promotion prospects.  Goalscoring hero Tony Lormor is rejoining the club with just one big goal in mind, to connect with Chesterfield supporters as part of a new marketing drive at the club.

He aims to raise awareness in the town about products that benefit both the club and supporters as well, such as lower cost utility bills and the Blues on the Move lottery draw. 

Chesterfield FC is now an authorised distributor for the Utility Warehouse Discount club which offers great savings on all utility bills, such as, gas, electricity, telephone calls and internet services.

Tony Lormor said: "I want to make people aware of this great offer because it not only saves them money on bills they are going to pay anyway, but the club benefits financially without anyone having to dip into the pockets again."

Tony added: "I also want to give Blues on the Move a push because every bit of extra income will help Lee Richardson's promotion push."

Tony Lormor made 134 appearances and scored 45 goals for Chesterfield during a three year spell from December 1994 to November 1997. 

He famously scored in the Wembley play-off win over Bury in May 1995.
