Following media speculation Chesterfield FC can confirm that Oldham Athletic have made an enquiry about midfielder Mark Allott.

Chesterfield manager Lee Richardson said " In reply to media enquiries, I can confirm that Oldham Athletic has enquired about the possible transfer of Mark Allott. This enquiry is being considered seriously but the current position is that the two clubs have a different view on the players valuation."

Lee Richardson added " The Club continues to take the view that there can be no movement out of any player unless the deal is the right one for Chesterfield FC."
