Posted on: Sun 14 Dec 2008

The Chesterfield Football Supporters Society (CFSS) AGM will be held at the Olde House, Loundsley Green at 7.30pm on Monday 19 January 2009.  Full details will be published here before the meeting but as well as the standing items there will be the usual election.

There will also be a discussion about the place of the Society as the Club moves forward.  These are exciting times.  CFSS has been an intrinsic part of our Club's recent history; we have to consider our role in supporting the best future for the Spireites.

The election is the annual one for Society Board Members.  There will be two vacancies; one is an unfilled position while the other is caused by Peter Whiteley standing down as required by the rules of the Society.  Pete, our Vice-Chairman, has indicated that he wishes to stand again but other candidates are welcome.  Nominations should be submitted to the Club or to the Society by email by 12 January.  Should an election be needed candidates may submit a personal statement of up to 250 words for the meeting.

A mailing is going out to CFSS members and other fans.  This will include a survey concerning travel to the new stadium.  This will inform the Stadium Travel Management Group as definite plans are put into place at our new home.

Also in the mailing are raffle tickets for the CFSS Draw.

There will be more details about this traditional fund-raiser over the holiday period.
