BOOST FOR CANCER CHARITY
Two lucky winners of Chesterfield FC's big £1,000 summer raffle prize have donated it all to local charity PACT (Parents' Association of Children with Tumours and Leukaemia) in support of one of their customers who is a fund-raiser for the charity.
Ian Bower and Robert Sinfield of Bowfield Window Systems donated the £1,000 prize to customer and fellow Spireites supporter Martyn Rhodes who is now the fund raising chairman for this children's charity.
The £1,000 cheque was presented on the Saltergate pitch at

PACT provides support for parents of children with cancer within the Trent Regional Health Authority, or those being treated at Sheffield Children's Hospital. Services include outings for children, home from home accommodation and two holiday caravans.
Ian Bower said: "We were delighted to be able support Martyn's efforts to raise funds for this very worthy cause because we know of all the hard work he puts in."
Martyn Rhodes, whose own son Jonathan died of cancer four years ago, said: "This gesture came right out of the blue and I want to thank Bowfield Window Systems and the football club for making this generous donation possible."

PACT is based at the Sheffield Children's Hospital and offers help throughout the region to any family with a child referred to the Oncology Unit with Cancer or Leukaemia.
The charity, whose patron is Kevin Keegan, was formed in 1977 when a group of parents realised they were not alone in their need to be in touch with others whose children also had cancer.
