The Business Community Shareholders Club has doubled in size from last season with 110 local companies now signed up, and more clammering to join. It means that over £20,000 has been raised in new money to help with the Spireites finances but the benefits don't end there. Every community partner gets a free entry in the Spireites new business directory, which encourages fans to support the businesses that support the football club. They also get invites to special social occasions.
There have been three recognition events during the last month, with the latest held in the Executive Club this week when players Caleb Folan and Derek Niven made the presentation of a specially commissioned plaque. The latest members to be presented are as follows:-

Also in attendance were Chesterfield manager Roy McFarland and assistant Lee Richardson, players Caleb Folan and Derek Niven and club directors Mike Warner, Alan Walters, Chris Breeze and John Croot.
Chesterfield director Chris Breeze said: "We have had a great response from people, some who are not even football supporters, but they all recognize the value of supporting their local football league club. It is a two-way street with benefits for both parties and there is still time to sign up for this season."
