BUSINESS BACKING FOR THE BLUES

Chesterfield this week held their second recognition event of the month for members of the Business Community Shareholders club.  The latest members to sign up were presented with their specially commissioned plaques from Chesterfield captain Mark Hudson and vice captain Ian Evatt.

The football club now has 109 local businesses signed up as community partners which in total have now contributed over £20,000 for club funds. Another recognition event is being held next Monday 27 September 2004 prior to next month's launch of the Spireites new business directory, which encourages fans to support the businesses that support the football club.

Chesterfield club director Chris Breeze said; "There are mutual benefits for all businesses who sign up, not least first in the pecking order when facilities are being booked at a future new football stadium."

 

Those who attended this latest event were:-  Peter Cooper - Peter Cooper Independent, Paul Gofton - National Westminster Bank, Bill Hiscock and Nigel Hague - Parkland Garden Furniture, Richard Singleton Ltd - Richard Singleton, Dale Marshall-Curtis - Spire Graphics, David Turner - Traditional Furniture Company, Nigel Trowbridge - The Walbrook Group, Phil Walker - Yorkshire Bank, Santi Perez - Global Brands Ltd, Nadine Robinson - Anderson Partnership, Lindsey Pearson - Spire Marketing, Andy McElveney - Shire Building, Rob Pearsion - Spire Windscreens, John Croot along with ~Carol and Denise from Whittington Moor Spar.  Also in attendance were:- club directors Mike Warner, Chris Breeze and David Jones, Chesterfield manager Roy McFarland and assistant Lee Richardson, players Mark Hudson and Ian Evatt.
