Chesterfield this week held their second recognition event of the month for members of the Business Community Shareholders club. The latest members to sign up were presented with their specially commissioned plaques from Chesterfield captain Mark Hudson and vice captain Ian Evatt.

The football club now has 109 local businesses signed up as community partners which in total have now contributed over £20,000 for club funds. Another recognition event is being held next Monday 27 September 2004 prior to next month's launch of the Spireites new business directory, which encourages fans to support the businesses that support the football club.

Chesterfield club director Chris Breeze said; "There are mutual benefits for all businesses who sign up, not least first in the pecking order when facilities are being booked at a future new football stadium."
