The Centre Players started their first training session of the year on August 14^th up at Chesterfield Cylinders. Usually this time of the season is very busy due to the big intake of trialists. They have a maximum of six weeks to show how good they are, we can then tell them whether we are going to sign them or not before the six weeks are up. A trialist is only allowed to trial with a team once in that season and cannot trial with that team again to the following season. The majority of the players have come back in good shape, they are all looking forward to the start of the new season.

On the 28^th, 29^th and 30^th August our under 9s, 10s and 11s travelled to Derby County to play in a round robin which would  have been good experience for all the teams involved.

Our season starts tomorrow September 2^nd against Rotherham. The under10's, 12's, 14's, and 16's are away. The 9's, 11's, 13's and 15's will all play Rotherham at Chesterfield Cylinders on that same morning. Unfortunately the even numbered squads will not play their fixtures tomorrow due to their training ground not recovering from the recent floods.
