Chesterfield FC's highly-regarded Centre of Excellence requires referees for the new season and an appeal has been launched by its manager Mark Jules.

Matches for all age-groups are played at Chesterfield Cylinders Ground, Hasland Road, Chesterfield, every Sunday morning with an 11.00am kick-off. 

Mark Jules said: "Unlike some senior football matches, Centre of Excellence games are hassle free and an absolute pleasure to officiate in.  We hope that volunteer referees, young or old, will come forward as these young footballers are the future."

The length of the games depends on the particular age groups, with 60 minutes for U9 & U10, 75 minutes for U12  & U14, and 90 minutes for U15 & U16.

A set match fee of £18 is paid per matchday.

Experienced referees, or young referees just starting out, are invited to offer their services.
