Aaron's Blog Week 3

Posted on: Mon 23 Aug 2010

It was great to start life out the b2net Stadium with a win last week and hopefully as we welcome Hereford and our old Hungarian friend Janos to our new stadium and we can get another three points .

Little things have started to change for us players since we moved apart from the obvious (the ground.) Things like getting a feed the day before a match, we never really got that before because there weren't the facilities to do so but with the new big kitchen and catering facilities we all sit down on a Friday and eat together.

Things like this are great and are appreciated by the players. There is even talk of us getting our training kit washed- wouldn't that be nice!!

Now onto the training, the lads have been working hard in training and the performance are proof of that I am sure you will agree especially the second half against Boro.

After training most of the lads have ice baths up in Sheffield. The shower room has no baths so we have round blow up pools outside which Jam and Tomo fill up with water and ice.

Now some of the boys aren't too keen to get in and like to take their time. One of the young lads Tendayi was standing next to the freezing water eyeing it up and was just getting ready to get in when Jack fully clothed came running up behind and rugby tackled him straight into the pool head first.

Tendayi grabbed Jack and was trying to get out but because they went in head first their feet were up in the air and they looked like two wet fish upside down flapping around in freezing water.

Now from the current lads to a past player with Janos in the Hereford team I thought it would be a good idea to catch up with him.

I asked him how he is finding his new Club.

Janos"It is a beautiful, quiet little Club" He said "The club is close to the community and towns heart. The fans are passionate and personally I am enjoying having the chance to be back in the Football League.

The first thing Simon Davey did when he became Hereford manager was to sign the former Spireite and make him captain.

"It's a great honour being captain" the defender said "My English is a lot better now and football is a universal language so that is not a problem" he continued "It is harder than I thought it would be, I don't just worry about my own performance but the whole teams but I am enjoying myself and hopefully I can be a leader for the team and the Club and push us forward".

I went on to ask him about coming back to play his former Club

"I can't wait to get back" Janos said "I really enjoyed myself at Chesterfield, it is a great Club and the fans were always good to me. It will be great to play in the new stadium as well. I spoke to John Croot and have seen it on TV and it looks amazing. I always keep an eye on Chesterfields score and I wish the Club all the success in the future after today that is!!"

The former Lincoln City player played 60 times for the Spireites and there is one game that sticks in his memory "My debut against Rotherham" It was my first game in England and I played pretty good I even got man of the match that game so it definitely my favourite memory"

I finished off with asking him about a questionable fancy dress outfit he wore at a Christmas party a few years ago. He was dressed as Tina Turner and trust me he really went for it. He had high heels, stockings, a massive silver wig, a glittering really short dress, a pair of breasts that Dolly Parton would have been proud of and to finish off was enough makeup to keep Boots in stock for a year.

After he got his breath back from laughing he went on to say "Oh yes what a fun day that was I have thrown her out now it was just a one off, but if I remember right I was very sexy" Indeed you were Janos, indeed you were!!!

Enjoy the game
