Chesterfield manager Paul Cook has been nominated for the Sky Bet League 2 Manager of the Month award for April.

11 points from five unbeaten games, including away wins at Hartlepool United, Dagenham & Redbridge and Burton Albion, helped Cook seal promotion to Sky Bet League 1 with a game to spare.

The Liverpudlian has been nominated alongside Andy Awford (Portsmouth), Phil Brown (Southend United) and Chris Wilder (Northampton Town).

The judging panel is chaired by former Football League manager Dave Bassett with Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League chief operating officer Andy Williamson; League Managers’ director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet head of football Paul Wiggins.

The winner will be announced on Friday, May 2.
