Chesterfield have today signed winger Brennan Dickenson on loan from npower Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion.
Naturally left footed, Dickenson can play on either side as well as adapting through the middle as a striker.
He joins on loan for a month and is eligible to go straight into the squad for the game against Bristol Rovers on Saturday, subject to the completion of the relevant paperwork.
Speaking about the signing, manager Paul Cook said: "We are delighted to have acquired Ben [Brennan Dickenson].
"He's a very energetic, left-sided midfielder or left-sided striker who will bring a lot of balance to the team and a lot of energy going forward.
"There was a lot of clubs chasing him and we'd like to thank Gus Poyet for his role in allowing him to come here."
